Back in May 2018 we brewed 'coconut crater', an imperial milk stout with coconut, cacao and vanilla. Before packaging, we put 200l of the base beer in a selected barrel and aged it for 16 months. The result? Clavius. The beer has matured and picked up light notes of wood, caramel and spirit, with full bodied overtones of toffee and fudge which enhances the chocolate and coconut flavours from its predecessor. Clavius tastes good fresh and may improve with time.
